Sore, Fat and Tired

Sore

I didn’t realize how bad my body would hurt. I was a pretty athletic person the majority of my life. I was used to running long distances and hitting the weights at the gym. But, I was no way prepared for the type of sore I would be after these Initial Deep Cleanings. Granted, I was just starting out with my new cleaning service and I was working REALLY HARD to show potential clients that I could clean well… and that they should keep me. I took on jobs that were extremely hard. I made no money. I didn't know how to bid for jobs. I would just work until the job was done and hope for the best. When I came home after cleaning all day, my whole body hurt. I could barely move.

Fat

The word FAT is not particularly pleasant. I don't personally know a woman who enjoys being called fat (I'm sure they are out there). But here I was, in my Primary Care Doctors office and that word was hurled at me from my doctors mouth. She said, “You're too FAT. You need to eat better food and work out. Get more muscle and drink only water.” FAT. I'm FAT. She's right…

I was a Chef. Food was an integral part of my life. I truly enjoyed it, still… ENJOY food. If I had to change my diet, the diet that quite literally defined my life, was too daunting of a thought. So instead, I hyper focused on the word WORKOUT. I can workout. I love working out. SO I did what any rational person would do… Join a CROSSFIT GYM. (Insert eyeroll here)

Tired

O man, I was tired. Twins. New cleaning company. Crossfit. I'm pretty sure I lost my mind. I excelled at Crossfit for a time but it was intense. I lost 30 lbs and felt a little better. Especially at work. My sore muscles were a constant state of being now. It didn't phase me any longer. But the exhaustion lingered, the weight loss plateaued and I quickly got discouraged. I thought about what else I could do to lose the weight and the worst thing ever popped into my mind. Eat Healthier Foods.
